NYSDOT Region 8 Hudson Valley Transportation Management Center

Description

The Hudson Valley Transportation Management Center is a multi-modal, multi-agency facility designed to integrate and manage the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) infrastructure currently used in NY State DOT Region 8, which includes 7 counties just north of New York City. The HVTMC also aims to improve operation of the highway system through teamwork and technology, thereby improving the mobility of travelers and goods in the Hudson Valley. The HVTMC is responsible for monitoring traffic conditions in Region 8, and is the hub for collecting and disseminating transportation information, congestion data, transit conditions, and traffic incident information.
