Description

Westchester County Department of Public Safety, also known as Westchester County Police provides primary police coverage for county parks, parkways and facilities and also provides support services to municipalities throughout the county. The department also provide patrols within the Towns of Cortland and Mount Kisco. Some of the support services provided are: accident investigation/reconstruction, forensic investigation, investigative support, special operations support (aviation, maritime, bomb squad, K9, tactical support, large scale incident support). The department is the fourth largest law enforcement agency in Westchester County after the New York State Police, the Department of Corrections and the City of Yonkers Police.
